Tank Trouble Tuesday

This image and Tank Trouble Tuesday story was featured back in January, but we thought Halloween would be the ideal time to revisit it.

TankCam® inspections reveal monsters and other problems, big or small, in underground storage tanks.

TankCam inspections can also be coupled with Tanknology's multiple tank-washing methods to ensure a tank free of sludge and debris, including monsters.

Tank Trouble Tuesday

This week's Tank Trouble Tuesday features a crack in an Ohio single-walled fiberglass tank.

The crack appeared to follow a tank seam, and a section of that crack exhibited moisture wicking. Areas near the crack were discolored.

Tank Trouble Tuesday

When acquiring sites with existing USTs, assessing the conditions of those tanks is a vital step in the valuation of your sites. Reviewing the internal conditions of a site’s USTs with a TankCam Inspection can help you determine if any corrective action should be taken to alleviate environmental contamination, or assist you in calculating site acquisition costs should corrective action be needed.

A TankCam Inspection provides a permanent record of detailed images of the site’s USTs. During the inspection, the technician analyzes the tank’s overall conditions and structural integrity while simultaneously checking for issues such as corrosion, degradation, and other abnormal operating conditions—an important step in evaluating the associated risks of owning, selling, or insuring tanks.

This service can be combined with VacuTect® tank tightness testing to test the tank for leaks, TankCleanTM to clear the tank of sludge or debris, or a corrosion assessment.
