Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Northwest region requested a TankCam® inspection of a singlewall, 12,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held unleaded gasoline.

The inspection revealed a section of cracked tank lining on the tank bottom and several areas of cracking  along the tank walls and endcaps. The lower half of the tank exhibited a build-up of residue and the drop tube was found on the tank bottom.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam® inspection of a singlewall, 4,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. 

The inspection revealed sections of peeling and flaking on the tank walls. The tank bottom contained sediment, residue and debris. Moisture staining was observed on the tank walls and endcap.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a singlewall, 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. 

The inspection revealed active water ingress at both endcaps and possible ingress near the top of the tank, According to the inspection report, the tank bottom was not visible during the TankCam inspection but the lower tank walls exhibited a build-up of residue and discoloration.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a steel tank to inspect for the presence of undesirable conditions such as corrosion, debris, water ingress or abnormal operating conditions. 

The inspection revealed that the lower half of the tank exhibited corrosion and what appeared to be sludge and sediment build-up. The tank bottom also contained some residual liquid. Tanknology recommended TankClean to remove the sludge, sediment and residual liquid from the lower half of the tank.
