Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam inspection of a 8,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded.

The TankCam inspection showed streaking at the riser bungs. Several drops per minute of liquid were observed, falling into product from near the STP and fill risers. The inspection also showed sludge and sediment on the bottom of the tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam inspection of a 8,000 gallon fiberglass  tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded.

The TankCam inspection showed residue on both sides of the tank. Sludge and sediment were seen on the bottom of tank and flaking and peeling could be found along the tank seams. Several patches were noted in tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam inspection of a fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The customer also requested a TankClean Remote Video UST Cleaning. 

The TankCam inspection revealed considerable sludge buildup on the bottom of the tank. After the TankClean Remote Video UST Cleaning, the TankCam shows that the sludge had been removed and the tank was clean and was ready to be put back into service.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam inspection of a 15,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel.

The TankCam inspection revealed corrosion and pitting throughout tank. The bottom of tank was obscured by sludge and product. A water ingress was found on the side of the tank and other possible ingress stains were seen at multiple points in tank.
