Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam inspection of a 4,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held mid-grade unleaded.

The TankCam inspection showed discoloration throughout the tank. Residue and flaking residue were observed in tank along with sludge and debris. The inspection also showed streaking from multiple bungs and riser pipes along with loose fibers along the center seam of the tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam inspection of a 4,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel.

The TankCam inspection showed an active water ingress near the ATG bung. The inspection also showed a possible crack near the ATG bung and corrosion on the STP shaft. Residue was also seen on the side of the tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam inspection of an 8,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held premium unleaded.

The TankCam inspection showed cracks with an active water ingress along center seam on both sides of tank and possibly, on the bottom of the tank. Several patches observed in tank. Residue and discoloration were found throughout the tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A healthcare facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam inspection of a 12,000 gallon fiberglass  tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held jet A fuel.

The TankCam inspection showed cosmetic blemishes in the tank. The inspection also showed minor residue on the bottom of tank and corrosion in the ATG riser pipe.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam inspection of a 8,000 gallon fiberglass  tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded.

The TankCam inspection showed residue on the sides of the tank. Flaking and peeling were observed at the riser bungs and along the tank seams. Several ATG components were seen on the bottom of the tank, along with sediment and sludge.
