Tank Trouble Tuesday

A water ingress is a serious problem, but pinpointing the leak can be challenging. In this week's Tank Trouble Tuesday we explore a case where a hole in a vent line caused water to enter a double walled fiberglass tank.

The TankCam technician began the inspection by inserting the TankCam into the tank through the fill riser. After observing water entering through the Stage I riser, the technician inserted the TankCam into the Stage I riser. We were able to show the customer video evidence of water entering through the vapor pipe and draining down into the vapor tee, then into the tank.

Pinpointing a leak is one of the many applications of a TankCam inspection.

TankCam is patent pending.
