A fueling facility in Tanknology's Southeast region requested a TankCam® inspection of an 5,000 gallon doublewall tank to check for undesirable conditions such as pitting, blistering, cracking, corrosion, debris, deflection or delamination. The tank contained E85.
The inspection revealed water dripping from the fill riser drain valve. Oxidation was observed on surfaces throughout the tank, and some areas of mild corrosion were observed, primarily on the top of the tank and in the tank bungs. The ball float assembly exhibited corrosion and some debris was found on the tank bottom.
