Tank Trouble Tuesday
A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded.
The TankCam inspection showed discoloration and residue throughout the tank. Blistering, flaking, and peeling were also observed and some sediment and debris were seen on the bottom of the tank. Heavy corrosion and leaks were found in the sump.

Tank Trouble Tuesday
A fueling facility in Tanknology's Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 15,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The facility also requested a TankClean® Remote Video UST Cleaning. The tank held regular unleaded.
Prior to cleaning, the tank bottom contained a build-up of sludge and held some residual liquid. Slight oxidation was also observed throughout the tank. After the TankClean service was performed, the tank was returned to service. The video shows the tank before and after the cleaning.

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulfcoast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 12,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel.
The TankCam inspection showed oxidation observed throughout tank. Corrosion was observed on side of tank and along the tank seams. In addition, residue was seen throughout tank, debris was seen floating in the product and the diesel contained in the tank appeared murky.

A fleet fueling facility in Tanknology's Southeastern region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon doublewalled fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded.
The TankCam inspection revealed multiple cracks in the tank. When water was poured into the interstitial
space, at least three points of ingress was observed. The inspection also revealed two cracks on the tank bottom at an area of deflection and a large crack in the tank wall.

Tank Trouble Tuesday
A fueling facility in Tanknology's Western Plains region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon lined steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held midgrade fuel.
The TankCam inspection revealed multiple drips coming from the manway patch of the tank lining, as well as a drip that appeared to originate at a bung and along the end seam of the tank.
