Tank Trouble Tuesday

Recently, Tanknology conducted a Capital Expenditure Planning Program for a large fuel retailer in the USA.

Due to the fact that many tanks in the US are aging out of their 30 year warranties, the goal of the program was to determine which of the more than 1000 tanks should be prioritized for replacement.

Utilizing a TankCam® Inspection, in many cases paired with a Deflection Assessment, the program allowed the company to evaluate structural integrity, corrosion, and the overall condition of each tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday is currently exploring the tanks prioritized for replacement during this Capital Expenditure Planning Program.

Due to their due diligence, a TankCam inspection revealed a crack in their single-walled fiberglass tank allowing groundwater to enter the tank-- read the full story below.

TankCam is patent pending.
