Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held premium unleaded.

The TankCam inspection revealed corrosion on the ball valve riser. Multiple layers of liquid observed in bottom of tank and an unknown liquid was observed seeping from side. Condensation was observed on tank ceiling.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Western Plains region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held unleaded.

The TankCam inspection showed cosmetic blemishes throughout the tank. The tank bottom was obscured by product. The TankCam inspection showed drips into product pool during vacuum, largely near endcap at the fill end of the tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


A fueling facility in Tanknology's Western Plains region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 20,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel.

The TankCam inspection showed peeling throughout tank and condensation on the tank ceiling. Residue and sludge were seen on the sides and bottom of tank. Product can be seen bubbling at the bottom of tank.

Tank Trouble Tuesday


 A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded.

The TankCam inspection showed active water ingress in a crack near the endcap seam. Residue was found and flaking and peeling was observed inside the tank. Before the tank was cleaned with the TankClean process, the bottom was obscured by product. After  the product was removed, the TankCam inspection identified the source of ingress.
