Tank Trouble Tuesday

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Southern California region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon lined steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held premium unleaded.

The TankCam inspection revealed blistering throughout the tank. Residue and flaking was observed on the sides of tank.

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 8,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held premium unleaded.

The TankCam inspection revealed cracks with an active water incress along the center seam on both sides of the tank. Several patches were seen inside the tank and residue and discoloration observed throughout.

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Southeast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon doublewalled fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held premium unleaded.

The TankCam inspection revealed minor water ingress along a tank seam. The inspection also showed debris on the bottom of the tank including gaskets and pea gravel. Condensation was observed on the tank ceiling.

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 12,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel.

The TankCam inspection revealed oxidation throughout the tank. Corrosion was observed on the sides of the tank and on the tank seams. Residue was observed throughout the tank and the bottom of tank was obscured by product while debris was seen floating.
