Tank Trouble Tuesday

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon, fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded. 

The TankCam inspection revealed discoloration and residue throughout the tank. Blistering, flaking, and peeling was found in the tank with sediment and debris on the bottom. Heavy corrosion and leaks were found in the sump.

The TankCam inspection revealed corrosion and water in the tank sump and blistering and flaking throughout tank. Residue was seen on the sides of the tank and possible ingress stains were found on the tank ceiling.

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 12,000 gallon, fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel.

The TankCam inspection revealed cosmetic blemishes in the tank. Minor corrosion was seen on the ball valve shaft. The bottom of tank was obscured by product.

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 8,000 gallon, steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel.

The TankCam inspection revealed qxidation and corrosion throughout tank. The bottom of the tank was obscured by sludge and a steady drip was observed at the STP bung.
