Tank Trouble Tuesday
A healthcare facility in Tanknology's Southeast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held Jet-A.
The TankCam inspection revealed that the tank was in good condition. The STP shaft and ball float appeared to be free of corrosion, but some corrosion was seen inside the ATG riser. The residual fuel in the tank appeared to be clear although some black patches and residue were seen at the botton of the tank.
TankCam® video inspection services from Tanknology help you detect UST problems with no need for excavation or manned entry. TankCam is patent pending.

A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 8,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The facility also requested a TankClean® Remote Video UST Cleaning. The tank held diesel.
Prior to cleaning, the tank bottom contained a build-up of sludge and residual liquid. An area at the top of an endcap and a seam on the tank appeared to be deflected or bent. Oxidation was observed throughout the tank.
